Order Policy

1. Overview

This Order Policy applies to all purchases made on momssaltyfish.com, operated by Mom's Salty Fish (Proprietor: Dhanalakshmi), Vanagiri, Mayiladuthurai District, Tamil Nadu. It is governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

2. How to Place an Order

Ordering from Mom's Salty Fish is simple:

  1. Browse our products and select the fish variety and weight you want.
  2. Add items to your cart. You can update quantities or remove items at any time before checkout.
  3. Proceed to checkout. Enter your delivery address — please ensure it is complete and accurate.
  4. Complete payment via UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, or any UPI app) through our secure Razorpay gateway.
  5. Receive an order confirmation email with your order number and details.

Your order is confirmed only after successful UPI payment. We do not accept Cash on Delivery (COD).

3. Payment

We accept UPI payments only via Razorpay (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and all UPI-enabled apps). No other payment methods are accepted at this time.

  • Your payment is processed securely by Razorpay. We do not store your UPI credentials or bank details.
  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST.
  • If payment fails, your order is not created and no amount is deducted from your account.
  • In rare cases of double deduction, contact us within 24 hours and we will resolve it promptly.

4. Order Confirmation

After successful payment, you will receive:

  • An order confirmation email to your registered email address, with your order number, items, total, and estimated delivery date.
  • Your order details on the My Orders page of your account.

If you do not receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes, check your spam folder. If still missing, contact us via WhatsApp or email with your registered phone number.

A contract of sale is formed only when you receive the order confirmation email after successful payment.

5. Order Cancellation

You may cancel your order only while it has the status "Placed" — meaning it has not yet been packed or handed to India Post.

  • To cancel, go to your My Orders page and click the "Cancel Order" button, or contact us immediately via WhatsApp at +91 88708 41167.
  • Once an order is confirmed as packed or dispatched, cancellation is not possible.
  • If cancelled before dispatch, a full refund will be issued via UPI within 5–7 business days.

Dry fish is a perishable product that is packed and dispatched quickly. Please cancel as early as possible if needed — we cannot guarantee cancellation once packing begins.

6. Order Modification

We do not support order modifications (changing items, quantities, or delivery address) after an order is placed and payment is made. If you need to change your order:

  • Cancel the existing order (if still in "Placed" status) via My Orders or WhatsApp.
  • Place a new order with the correct items or details.

7. Delivery Address Accuracy

It is the customer's responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address at the time of placing the order, including:

  • House/flat/door number and street name
  • Landmark (if applicable)
  • City, district, and state
  • Correct PIN code
  • Active phone number reachable by the delivery person

Mom's Salty Fish is not responsible for delivery failures or delays caused by incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses. Re-delivery shipping charges will be borne by the customer in such cases.

8. Order Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel any order if:

  • The product is out of stock after your order is placed
  • Payment fraud or unusual activity is detected
  • The delivery address is outside our serviceable area
  • There is a significant pricing error on the website

In such cases, a full refund will be issued via UPI within 5–7 business days, and you will be notified by email or WhatsApp.

9. Bulk Orders

For orders above 5 kg, we recommend contacting us via WhatsApp before placing the order online. Bulk orders may qualify for:

  • Special pricing
  • Dedicated packaging and shipping arrangements
  • Flexible delivery scheduling

WhatsApp us at +91 88708 41167 to discuss your requirements. Bulk orders placed directly on the website without prior discussion are processed as standard orders.

10. GST Invoice

A GST-compliant invoice (GSTIN: 33ELZPD8857E1ZI) is available for every order. You can download your invoice from the My Orders page after your order is placed. This serves as your official purchase receipt for all purposes.
