2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, to use this website and place orders. By using this website, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Products & Food Safety

All products sold on this website are traditional dry fish (karuvadu) prepared and sold under FSSAI License No. 22425438000422, in compliance with the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 and applicable FSSAI regulations.

• Our products are prepared using traditional coastal methods in Vanagiri, Tamil Nadu.
• All products are vacuum-sealed to maintain freshness.
• Product weights comply with the Legal Metrology Act, 2009.
• Product images on our website are for illustrative purposes. Actual appearance may vary slightly due to natural variation in the product.

4. Pricing & GST

All prices displayed on our website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes including GST (GSTIN: 33ELZPD8857E1ZI).

• Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price at the time of placing your order is the final price.
• Shipping charges are displayed separately at checkout (free for Tamil Nadu, ₹60 for other states).
• A GST invoice is available on your My Orders page for download after your order is placed.

5. Payment

We accept UPI payments only via Razorpay (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and all UPI-enabled apps). Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available.

• Orders are confirmed only after successful payment.
• If a payment fails or is declined, no order is created and no amount is deducted.
• In rare cases of double deduction, contact us within 24 hours and we will resolve it promptly.

6. Order Confirmation & Contract

A contract of sale is formed when you receive an order confirmation email from us after successful payment. Until then, no contract exists between us.

We reserve the right to cancel any order if:

• The product is out of stock after your order is placed
• Payment fraud or unusual activity is detected
• The delivery address is outside our serviceable area
• There is a significant pricing error on the website

In such cases, a full refund will be issued via UPI within 5–7 business days.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Mom's Salty Fish shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our products or website
• Health issues arising from improper storage, handling, or consumption of products after delivery
• Delays caused by India Post or any postal/courier service beyond our control
• Technical downtime, website errors, or data loss due to third-party service failures

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific order in question.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the:

• Consumer Protection Act, 2019
• Information Technology Act, 2000
• Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006

Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mayiladuthurai District, Tamil Nadu, India.
